Announces 2012 Marketing Award Winners
COLUMBUS, Ohio –  The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Columbus Chapter hosted its 3rd annual marketing awards presentation gala on March 29, 2012 at the historic Garden Theatre, home of the Short North Stage. The awards program honors excellence in marketing communications within the architectureengineering and construction (A/E/C) industry.

Receiving an Award for Best of Show was Dawn Wiford of Fanning Howey.
The People’s Choice Award (voted by those in attendance) was given to Alison Crumley, Ten Penny Design.
Entries were evaluated by impartial jurors selected from the AEC community for their expertise in communications, marketing, and business development. This year’s jurists included: Bernie Costantino, University Architect at The Ohio State University; John Seibert Sr. of Miami University Planning, Architecture & Engineering Department; James Young, Deputy Director, Ohio Department of Transportation; Mitch Levitt of FKP Architects; Holly Bolton, CE Solutions; Walker Evans, Founder of Columbus Underground; and Dr. Doug Ross, Marketing & Management Department Chair of Franklin University.

“This year’s awards program, the venue, and the quality of the work entered in an indication of the talent and energy of our community,” said Ryan Konst, President of SMPS Columbus and Managing Director of the Columbus office of Steven Schaefer Associates, Inc.
